When exploring options for Outer Banks Hotels you will find there are a lot of hotels available to choose from.

With a little effort you can find some specials for beach hotels that could save a few dollors. With a hotel room being a large part of the cost of a vacation, I find it helpful if I can save some money on our room.

We have found some discount rates even in the summer season. They are harder to find, but sometimes a hotel will want to fill all their rooms and offer a discount hoping to stay at full capacity during the summer months.

The best way to get a cheaper rate, if we are able, is to be flexible with the days of the week. I ask if there are any rooms available during the middle of a week. Many times people plan a vacation over a long weekend. This could leave a vacancy mid week that can be hard to fill and a manager may be willing to offer a discount, but only if you ask.

Of course the Outer Banks have some really nice ocean front rooms available but they usually fill up quickly and of course you can expect to pay a little more. I find when I'm wanting to get an ocean front room it is usually best to make reservations 4 to 6 months early.

For finding a good list of hotels available, I have found the local chamber of commerce has alot of beach hotels listed on their web site.
