Sam & Omie's a Great Little Restaurant

by JR
(USA)

I was just recently at the Outer Banks for a long week-end for a fishing trip and found a great little restaurant.

Saturday evening, after a day of fishing, the three of us had a large appetite.
So we spotted the small restaurant (Sam & Omie's) on the beach road, close to South Nags Head.

The restaurant has a very friendly family atmosphere. The building isn't fancy like a lot of the large restaurants on the Outer Banks, which gave it a very comfortable feeling. The waitress was friendly and very efficient.

The menu had all the things you would expect.

Since we were hungry, the three of us ordered the Fried Seafood Platter (could have ordered broiled). This was a huge platter with Talpia, Shrimp, Scallops, Oysters with a choice of a side and a salad.

What a great meal! The food was excellent and they gave very generous portions.

I thought the price was fair, considering the amount of food we received.

I will be stopping at Sam & Omie's again.
